Questions and answers

The things our guests usually ask before booking a tour in Pokhara.

How many days should I spend in Pokhara?

Two full days covers the highlights: sunrise at Sarangkot, the city sights and a boat trip on Phewa Lake. Add a day for paragliding or the Peace Pagoda, and allow 3–5 days for a short trek such as Poon Hill.

Are your tours private?

Yes, every single one. Each tour runs privately for you and your group, with your own vehicle and guide, so you'll never have to wait for other travellers to join.

Do you pick up from my hotel?

We do. Pickup and drop-off anywhere in Pokhara, including Lakeside, is included on all our tours. Trips that start at the airport include your airport transfer too.

When is the best time to see the mountains?

October to early December has the clearest views, followed by late winter and spring. From June to September, cloud often hides the peaks, although the mornings can still be clear.

How do I pay?

You can pay a deposit online by card when you book, then the balance before your trip. Bank transfer and cash are fine too; our booking terms have all the details.

Can I change the itinerary?

Absolutely. Every tour has a suggested plan, but we're happy to change the timings, add a stop or combine two tours. Just tell us what you'd like when you book.

Is paragliding safe?

You fly tandem with licensed pilots from established Pokhara companies, and flights only take off in suitable weather. If conditions aren't safe, your flight is moved to another day or refunded.

Do I need a permit or a guide for treks?

Treks in the Annapurna region need an Annapurna Conservation Area permit and a TIMS card, and trekkers must walk with a licensed guide. Don't worry: both are included in our trek prices.
