About this tour
- Australian Camp viewpoint
- Gurung village of Dhampus
- Sunrise from Sarangkot
- Only 3 days
If you only have a few days, this is the best short trek near Pokhara. In three days you walk from the end of the road at Kande up to Australian Camp, on to the Gurung village of Dhampus and then to Sarangkot, with Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre and Mardi Himal in view for much of the way.
The walking is moderate, about four to five hours a day, and you spend the nights in simple village lodges. It's a wonderful first taste of trekking in Nepal, or a fine trip in its own right when time is short.
Along the trail you'll meet Gurung, Magar and Brahmin families and see village life up close. Then, as a finale, you watch the sunrise from Sarangkot before walking down into Pokhara.
