Sarangkot used to be a village of its own and is now part of Pokhara, but the paths to the top still wind past farmhouses, little shrines and terraced fields. Walking up, rather than driving, is by far the best way to see it.
We drive you to the trailhead, and from there it's about two hours on foot with your guide. At the top, the whole valley is laid out in front of you: the city below, Phewa Lake to the south and, on clear days, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Himchuli and Lamjung Himal across the north. You can even watch the paragliders take off just below the summit.
After some time at the viewpoint and a well-earned cup of tea, we walk back down and drive you to your hotel.

Itinerary
Sarangkot hike
- Pickup from your hotel and a drive to the trailhead.
- Hike up through the villages to Sarangkot (about 2 hours).
- Time at the viewpoint and a tea break.
- Walk back down and drive to your hotel.

- We pick you up from your hotel in Lakeside or anywhere else in Pokhara. Just let us know where you're staying when you book.
- Cancellation
- A 25% deposit confirms your booking. If you cancel 10 or more days before your trip, we refund half of the deposit; within 10 days, the deposit is kept. If we have to cancel because of the weather or for safety reasons, you get your money back in full. Booking terms
