Seti River Gorge

The milky-white Seti River runs through a gorge so narrow and deep in places that you hear it before you see it.

The Seti Gandaki carries glacial water from the Annapurnas right through the middle of Pokhara. Its limestone gorge is narrow and, in places, tens of metres deep. And that milky colour? It comes from fine rock flour in the glacial meltwater.

The best-known viewpoint is at the Mahendra Pul bridge in the old town; another is by the K.I. Singh bridge in the north of the city.
